Any idea on what would cause Stripper to sleep with her eyes wide open? Let me explain. The other day hit the strip club and only seat available was high top next to stripper that was chilling in the club. The high top chairs are side-by-side and you can not see the person next to you. So I sat next to her, and shortly thereafter she is leaning on me and thought I was ready to get the hard sell from her. But no, she said nothing and was slightly snoring. So I turned to look at her and her eyes were wide open. Also occasionally her body would twitch like you do when you are sleeping. This went on for about 20 minutes, and every time I turned to look at her, her eyes were wide open staring into space, but not looking at anything. I was thinking WTF. After 20 minutes, she jerked to attention and gave me the hard sell. Was this some drug that finally kicked in? Any ideas?
Found this info - pay special attention the 1st and 2nd reasons
Open-eyed sleeping is called lagophthalmos. Usually in lagophthalmos only one eye remains open during sleep. There is some evidence that open-eyed sleeping can be a family characteristic. Specific causes of lagophthalmos include:
Alcohol intoxication
The use of hypnotic drugs
Damage the facial nerves which control the eyelid.
Scarring of the eyelids
Metabolic disorders such as thyroid dysfunction
Never heard of lagophthalmos. but it definitely could have been that.
There used to be guy at work that could sleep with his eyes open and fingers slowly moving across the keyboard. If you walked by at normal pace, you would not notice and think he was working. If you tip toed around him, you could see it was just gibberish on the screen, and he was only sleeping.
Great talent if you can use it. In the stripper's case if she did it in the dressing room, the house mom would have bounced her ass.
Meth crash, too much X, list goes on and on. One of my college room mates had been in the Army and he learned to sleep standing up at attention with his eyes open (was actually really freaky).
I knew a girl in high school who slept with her eyes wide open. (I heard this from her mother, you dirty-minded SOBs, lol) Not a drug abuser, totally normal in all of her daylight pursuits.
Did you hear about the midnight rambler
Everybody got to go
Did you hear about the midnight rambler
The one that shut the kitchen door
He don't give a hoot of warning
Wrapped up in a black cat cloak
He don't go in the light of the morning
He split the time the cock'rel crows
Talkin' about the midnight gambler
The one you never seen before
Talkin' about the midnight gambler
Did you see him jump the garden wall........
