Detroit Reprort / BTs to the rescue (once again)

They never tell you what you need to know.
With it being one of the first hot weekend nights of summer (what happened to spring?) I figured this wouldn't be a big Strip Club night.

I did a lot of traveling this week and was pretty worn out by the time I arrived to Detroit, so I didn't leave my hotel until about 9:30PM. I went to Players first to meet the stripper that I'm gonna marry one day (lol) but once again was hijacked by the other so I decided to have some clean lap dances with her (well clean for Detroit standards) and head down the road. Next I have been wanting to try Legends and I knew I could be there by 11:30. Here's a rundown of Legends since I know some guys on here have been wondering.
1. Valet $12 (after what I saw I would never, ever, ever take a nice car down there)
2. Cover was somewhere between $10-15 (can't remember)
3. I went with loafers and a collared shirt (per Warhawks recommendation) but it looks like there was no dress code for this Saturday night.

I guess getting into the warmer weather and with guys coming from Tigers games that would be kinda hard to enforce. It was very crowded with young guys (under 30) and after a quick survey there were only 3 girls circulating and 2 or 3 on stage, I figured I didn't have time to waste and I probably wasn't going to get attention here so I cut my losses and left. It was an interesting scene, strippers were getting mad because they couldn't make it on the stage because so many guys were standing around the steps. When valet was getting my car, some drunk fat girls from the bar next door (St Andrews?) were actually climbing on the roofs of the nice cars in valet and taking photos. A bunch of them jumped in the back of one of the pickup trucks for photos too until the valet came over and chased them away. They were so drunk the poor valet had his work cut out for him.

Lastly I went to BTs for some attention and it was rather quiet for a Saturday night, and I quickly found what I was looking for. I achieved a new strip club badge as well... I was 'squirted' on in the VIP, at the time I thought it was hot, on my drive back to my hotel I thought it was rather gross! lol From now on I probably should just go here first when I'm in the mood to "take care of business," get out and go back to my hotel room and get some rest...

I would give Legends another try, but I'm going to stay away anytime a home game is downtown (I thought I would be okay on this trip since the game was at 1:05 that day - I was wrong). Seems to be par for the course, just like Christies is at the Flats in Cleveland, anytime a home game went down, it's always nuts and a lot harder to get attention, or at times even finding a damn seat is challenging.

Lastly, here's a photo of me getting ready to throw some stacks over one of the balconies at Legends:

IDK why the Detroit upscale clubs are so expensive w/ their mandatory valet in the neighborhood of $10; expensive drinks where a water is like 10 bucks ; and often so much of the available seating set aside for paid/VIP seating.

IDK if this a northern thing; a relic from when there was a lot of $$$ in Detroit due to the auto-making industry; or something that came about b/c of Alan Markovitz?

I don't have anything against valet parking nor VIP seating as long as is optional and not pushed down your throat.

Yeah I know what you mean. It's not like that in comparable cities. I noticed on my way down that most parking in that area was around $10, so $12 for valet was not too out of line.

But think about this, I went to 3 clubs that night, BTs, Players and Legends and spent $62 in entry fees, valet and tips, and I spent $27 on 2 tonic waters and a coke with tips. I'm not in fucking Vegas, I'm in Detroit!

Well that sucks. lol.
Sorry to hear you had a bad time at Legends. That's strange there were so few girls working on a weekend night? When I go during the day sometimes, there are at least 10+ girls working on a much less busy time in the afternoon.

Yeah, valet and cover can eat up a good portion of your $ if you hit multiple clubs on a weekend night.
I usually club in the afternoon during the week, so there isnt any cover at the club's usually if you get there before 7 or 8pm.
Just about every club in Detroit has a valet so those can be hard to avoid.
When visiting Legends, you can park at the Greektown Casino parking structure and walk over. Lots in that area if there are is a Tigers game can be anywhere from $10 to $20. (Opening day, many of the lots were charging $50!!).
Having something going on at St Andrews hall next to Legends didn't help your cause either. It can get pretty packed in that small area down there.
Anyways, sorry you had s bad time at a club I reccomended. I'll have to check it out on a weekend night one time and see if anything has improved in the future.

Yeah, nice club. When I went I took an Uber so no Valet fee and there was no cover at that time. Didn't seem to be any action either.

I'll give it some time and follow the reviews, but right now not worth the trip out of the way.

Got turn away once at Penthouse because I arrived in a cab and would not pay the valet. Their excuse was that the number of cars parked is how they regulate the numbers in the club. I thought they force valet because they did not want to piss off the neighbors with patrons street parking. I told the bouncer to fuck himself and ran after my cab and went to Flight Club.

^^^ I've never heard of such a thing! What a way to turn off people from out of town who visit Detroit and fly in and don't have a car. Those people are going to use Uber or a cab maybe to get the the club.
Terrible business policy...

That's crazy to turn someone away coming in a cab. Yeah be sure you drive so you can get a DUI if you're drinking.

No worries Warhawks - I just went on a bad night. One of the first nice weather weekends and a tigers afternoon game spelled disaster for an intimate strip club night. I'm sure there were more girls but from what I saw, they weren't circulating during the time I was there. It was the 25-35 crowd, all in groups and wearing their fag boat shoes or in tigers gear. Those guys are usually more into "bro night" and their drinks than the strippers.

I'm not whining about all the fees - I see it as just part of the cost to do business but geez, almost $100 for 3 non alcohol drinks and entrance into 3 clubs? Somewhat excessive!
