What the Hell Happened to Detroit?

But I'm back in Detroit for a bit and fell into old habits. What's going on here? Vincemichaels and I leave for a year and the place turns to crap.
Two weeks ago I went to Landing Strip on a Saturday night. Place was packed with customers, and no strippers other than the ones on stage. In 40 minutes neither I or anyone else at the bar was approached. A total waste of time.
The following week I went to Flight Club on a Wednesday night. Nearly the same story. A smoking hot girl finally came over after 25 minutes but refused to go upstairs for less than $250. That's for LDs, not anything extra. What??
In desperation I headed over to John's Hot Spot. Hamilton clubs are a sure bet, right? Wrong. The usual (for this place) fat old girls. Finally the one not bad looking girl approached me, and said she wouldn't go in back for less than $200. At John's? Seriously? I eventually talked her down to $20 per dance, which is the official price. She was very unenthusiastic and I'm sure $200 spent on her would have gone down the toilet.
So is there a new $200 minimum in Detroit? Is my money no good? Do I have a shit stain down my shirt or something?
Got something to say?

Other Detroiters will chime in and I’m not one of them; but have not heard what you described for non-extras activities – the only thing that has been commented is Detroit LE cracking down where to some clubs have removed their VIPs or removed their booth doors/curtains thus making much much less private and perhaps useless.
It's been a little over a year before I became seriously reading and participating on the boards here although I have been a TUSCL member and strip clubber for over a decade... looks like I came right around the time you left - so we missed each other.
I believe my first Detroit Club encounter was around September 2014 and I had so much fun I went back for 7 or 8 weekend trips over the next year. My last trip of 2014 was late November and because of the brutal winter I didn't get back up there until March of this year. I've been there only twice this year so far and on my 3 nights out (hitting several clubs) my experiences aren't anywhere near what they were in the past. I night I actually struck out and went back to my hotel without any extras (a first for me in about 30 nights out in Detroit) and the other two nights I had to do a lot of searching (3+ clubs) before I finally found someone to do... what I came to do... with.
Last time I was up there (just a few weeks ago) I heard chatter from the dancers at the 8 Mile clubs about a big LE presence. I had a young dancer at flight club say "I've already made a ton of money tonight, and you seem like a nice guy, I really don't want to rip you off." I was dumbfounded - I felt like saying "well what's the price to rip me off, I may pay it depending on what services are rendered."
I keep myself in denial and say it's just a bad run and things will get better for me. I hope so because I have at least 4 trips planned between May and July.
I continue to pay $200 to $400 for extras in Detroit-area clubs, with $300 being the most usual amount. These are the prices for upscale cubs. I don't go to Bogart's or Henry VIII.
Agreed on the prices. What seemed unusual to me was the extreme scarcity of dancers, and their unwillingness to do anything except extras. I don't do extras unless it's a girl I know or I at least have had a chance to observe her LD skills first.
I have had disappointments before but it's usually only on night shifts.
I'm not sure things have changed much.
Even when things were going great, there were a few times I struck out and left without getting anything extra. Rare, for Detroit clubs, but it does happen...
The only club I have never, ever struck out at is Penthouse. It's really a brothel. You have to pay sometimes more than you'd probably like there, but it's as close to a sure thing as I've ever experienced in Detroit.
