Apparently there has been trouble at this place, a security guard got shot. Most unfortunate. Neighborhood groups have been active for some time now in trying to get the place closed. Lots of Mexican Bars have already been closed down. They are part of the Old San Jose.

This place is very small. I think some years ago I may have stuck my nose in there once or twice. I am not aware that this place ever had the "Bikini Show", or what most people would call Table Dancing.
Most of these Mexican Bars will at some times have hookers in them though. I think the City and these neighbors are grossly exaggerating any relationship between prostitution and other crime. But you can see the pattern here. The City is very aggressive with civil actions through its City Attorney's Office, to get businesses closed down. It is a very inhospitable place for any sort of adult entertainment, expect perhaps for AMPs.
The most famous of the Mexican Bars, going back to the 1920's, is Maria's Club. It did at various times have the Bikini Show. I believe this bar is run responsibly and trouble is minimal.

The atmosphere is laid back and clean. There is a 20 dollar cover and there were about 20 patrons or so on a Saturday night around…Full Review »
Someone just posted this review of Cheetah's in Sunnyvale ( formerly The Kit Kat Club ), nude, no touching: October 9, 2014 • I end up here at Cheetah's each time I visit the San Jose area. Even though it seemed I was (jokingly) encouraged to visit one of the many AMPs in the area, I still prefer having a show. I spent two weekday nights here this…Full Review »

Damn. There goes the planned tuscl meet up in Santa Clara county Mexican bars. I guess we'll have to settle for someplace not half as good, maybe Detroit or Miami.
