NEW BEDFORD — A man was arrested early Saturday morning, charged with stabbing a victim in the neck, police said.
The victim was taken to St. Luke's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Police went to the Temptation Gentlemen's Club located on Popes Island around 3:05 a.m. There, they arrested Steven Cavalcanti, a doorman and bouncer at the club.
"He sliced the victim with a weapon ... on the neck during altercations in the bar," police Lt. John Chaves alleged, saying Cavalcanti used a knife.
Cavalcanti was charged with attempted murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, Chaves said.
