When y'all get together, think about my old friend vincemichels. No idea what happened to him, but since Detroit was his stomping grounds, perhaps someone might know what happened to him. I miss his visits to S. Florida.

last commentClubber - Didn't Vince post about getting a civil girlfriend? I like to think he settled down and gave us his clubbing ways on her behalf. (It's better than the alternative explanation)

steve,
He did hook up with a civie, and I think they went to Mexico. As I recall, and this was one of the last things I heard, was that he left her there and went home. I could be mistaken on some parts of that, but I do recall that didn't last.

I PMed Vince about the Detroit TUSCL meet, but he did not reply. I don't have any info about what he is doing. I hope he is OK.
Even though Vince clubbed in Detroit, I never met him. Once, however, Vince reviewed a club the day after I reviewed it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to retrieve old private messages? I know I had many from him, but to keep that area non-cluttered, I delete them after I've read them. I wonder if they are still on TUSCL somewhere.

I pretty much have to echo Clubber. Vince had stayed at my house on two occasions and is not the type that would just drop out of sight on his friends.

Looks like it was only a year since his last post. Sure feels like longer than that though!

if someone knows his real first and last name; perhaps they can do a google search and see if something turns up?

Where's Troop when you need him?

I think Vince was somewhere in his 50's.

Papi,
First name, yes, and I knew what he did for a living before he retired. I did a web search in that area for obituaries and such, but thankfully found nothing. seems he fell off the earth. I have not tried his phone. Not sure how to handle it should someone other then he were to answer. Any thoughts on that?

Clubber - If some one else answers just say that you are an old friend and had not heard from him for quite awhile. So you are just checking to see how things are going. No need to mention TUSCL.

Sc,
I was more thinking how I might be labeled in his phone. Like he and you are TUSCL friends in mine. I wouldn't wish to explain that. Maybe I need to come up with something else for the TUSCL acronym. :)

I would say if he wanted to keep in touch; or was able to keep in touch; he would know how to – so as concerned as one may be; I guess it has to be left at that?

Papi - You're probably correct.

Perhaps so, sc and Papi. What would I do if I found our he was no longer with us? Nothing, likely. And if he is OK, then he doesn't care say hello, then why should I care.
Now I don't know him well, but likely better than anyone else I know on TUSCL. His going silent would be very out of character for him, I believe.
