If you see a club taking pics or filming the stage show, do you stay away?

I was just curious how many try not to get photographed or filmed in a strip club. There is probably some notice in such clubs that your image may be recorded but I don't look for it.

I know a dancer told me I was on one club's DVD because I was sitting at the stage when they were filming. Last night I probably ended up in more pics for some unknown reason.

I don't care to have my picture taken unless I'm going to get a copy with a naked dancer but I'm not going to shy away from a stage just because I might end up getting recorded. How about you?

The one or two times that I've run into this they always stuck a consent form at me to sign, at which point I politely said my goodbyes and left.

There are usually laws against using a person's image in any commercial video or whatever without their consent. So you can't just go out on the street, film a commercial using professional actors, and use the regular passersby in the background. Why? BECAUSE IT PISSES PEOPLE OFF !!! You have no right to use my image for your purposes.

Same thing inside a "private" business, although LEGALLY they may be able to get away with it, people don't consider it RIGHT. They have no more right to use my image than they do if they did the same thing in their parking lot and I happened to be passing by and got in the shot. That's why so often you see videos with 'real people' in the background and their faces are blurred. I believe those regulations have become much stricter in the past decade or so.

If a club used my image in their video, without first coming over the PA and saying "guys, we're filming in 10 minutes, if you don't want to be in it you should probably go in the back where we're offering a 30 minute VIP for $10, or else go to another club", then I'm outta there and might never return. It's a dickhead move, warning signs or not.

I've only encountered this twice, once was with a featured performer. Never were the patrons intended to be filmed.

The laws vary from state to state.

Laws are apparently pretty slack in South Carolina in regards to this. I guess if you see someone taking pictures or they have large tv studio type of cameras pointing at the stage, your image could end up somewhere. I didn't buy the DVD but at one club at the beach a dancer I know said she saw me in the background. When I walked in, a dancer found me a spot at the stage. She sat in my lap for 30 to 40 minutes while we watched some special stage shows. Typically I do not see any cameras.

There was probably a sign posted. The other night I saw someone obviously taking pictures and I think I might be in them. It would have been nice to be forewarned. Of course I believe most people will be looking at the hot girl. Anytime the feature entertainer asks you to get on the stage, I wonder what's going on.

Now I remember why I often don't get too close to a feature entertainer. You never know what's going to happen.

I've probably been filmed countless times and didn't know it. I believe one dancer in one club told me they had hidden security cameras overhead in the lap dance room. She told me she saw the tv's monitoring everything. She made me nervous when she said she wanted to be a porn star right before my lap dance started.
