Requesting Suggestions for Strip Club Playlist

Monday, April 29, 2013 9:10 AM
I have been building a playlist for the owner of a new club. The club is in the southeast in a resort area sometimes called 'Redneck Riviera'. So the playlist is so far heavy on classic rock and some more modern rock in a similar vein with a smattering of other styles for variety and a consistently high energy level. Mostly familiar but some obscure pieces. I would like suggestions on further songs to ad. Most of these songs are the most familiar of those with the title with the exception of Tainted Love, which is the Marilyn Manson cover. I think but 1 song is familiar to me. This is not music I wish to listen to in a club. But NO club is likely to play what I want to hear.

"Red House", by Hendrix. First 3 minutes of "Dazed and Confused", by Led Zep. Intro to "Pretty Woman", by Va Halen. These are for the girls that dance slow and sexy.

Come on Alucard, throw out a couple of names and I will actually consider them! After all I do think that a change-up every few songs is important in a club playlist.

I like some heavy metal songs or groups like back in black and a number of songs by AC DC, Metallica, def leopard, Rob zombie. I even like one song called something like Gasolina or Yankee Gasolina but it seems to work better if you have a hot Latina dancer on stage. I also like some of the more popular pop rock and some classic rock.

The clubs I visit play mostly hip-hop, pop & latin music. Lots of Akon, Rhianna....stuff like that. That's the kind of music that I automatically associate with stripclubs. Something tells me that it wouldn't go over very well in a place nicknamed 'Redneck Riviera'.

In my experience, dancers should pick their music, unless it's gangsta rap or skinhead metal or something, or the customers totally hate it. One of the best stage dancers I've seen was a middle eastern dancer doing topless belly dancing.

I've always thought Free Bird would be the perfect song to get a LD to. But it's length probably precludes it from ever being used. But the crescendo after a nice, slow section would make for an awesome experience with the right lady.

Thanks all. Ibbaicni; That is exactly what I dont't recommend clubs do. Consider this, where is the club making money while that middle eastern dancer is on stage? They are making it from the half dozen or so guy in the lap dance/VIP booths. If THOSE guys (who are not watching the stage) are thinking WTF is this and the dancers that are in the booth with them (who are also not watching the stage) are thinking HTF can I dance to this then the club is going to lose money. And the club is catering to 40-65 year old men, who most definitely have different musical tastes than 25-35 year old women.
