BROOKLYN IL — A man was shot two times Saturday morning near the Bottoms Up strip club.
The victim is in the hospital and Brooklyn Police are working to identify the gunman, who fled from police and lost them when he drove into St. Louis.
Police Chief Tony Tomlinson said police received a call reporting the shooting at 5 a.m. Saturday
"We responded to the Bottoms Up for a shots fire call," Tomlinson said.
"Security pointed out the vehicle where the shots came from. The vehicle then took off," Tomlinson said. "We pursued the vehicle and it fled into St. Louis where we lost it."
The suspect vehicle, a gray Dodge SUV, with Missouri license plates, had two people inside when shots were fired. The victim was shot in the neck and back.
"The victim was transported to a St. Louis area hospital where he was taken immediately into surgery," Tomlinson said.
The victim's condition was not immediately available.
The club was closed by officials pending a hearing before the liquor commission.

Bottoms Up is such a shit club now days, it would give Brooklyn a better reputation if it was closed. Not likely to be closed tho as it probably creates low-paying prostitution jobs in a horribly depressed area.
