Well you've been warned, so if you're reading then it is by choice.

So I've been feeding the troll a lot lately, right after saying I was re-joining a boycott. Pretty sad. Here's the thing. I don't think davids/RL care if we answer them/him. In some ways it's probably preferable since then their/his version of events goes unchallenged.

A thought came to me when davids challenged me to a fight. He expects me to not answer him so he can add calling me a coward to his repertoire. The "I'll fight you" meme has been a troll standard for close to a decade now but has been mostly dropped because it is meaningless to most people. I wondered how he'd react to having his bluff called. We all know it's one big joke, but he seems to want to be taken seriously.

Well the posts are all there if you want to read them. I'll summarize a few salient points here. davids claimed he was going to fly to DC to fight me. We all know that's BS. We set up a time and place. The 1720 Club in DC Saturday night between 7 PM and 10 PM. davids claims he was there.

I've been trying to goad him into saying he was there again, sadly I doubt it'll happen. davids probably went out Googling to get a good review and description of the 1720 club and came across an inconvenient fact. The 1720 club closed nearly 10 years ago. He's kind of avoided the topic since I asked him to tell us about his trip. The tragic part for him is that when you Google "1720 club" the first hit is a DC nightlife guide that describes the club, but sadly makes no mention it closed nearly a decade ago. Having some knowledge other than Google gave me a slight advantage. I know davids Googled it because he came back with "You want me to meet you in a strip club?"

T-bone can confirm that I had this planned right up to the point where davids would claim to have showed up, although admittedly I felt it was a long shot. I thought he'd Google a little more before he claimed to have been there. T-Bone, you can post the e-mail here if you want and if anyone wants proof, the forwarded e-mail should have the original time stamps.

Now I don't think it is any news to anyone that davids is full of shit and lies. I just wanted to have one instance where no matter what he said his own words condemned him and were the very proof that he was full of shit. I wanted to have some fun after davids said;

"We fight at "strippers and losers 2006": Memphis, Montreal makes no difference to me. I'll also destroy you in chess, beforehand as conclusive proof that your both intellectually and physically inferior to me! "

davids, you wanted to play me in chess? Checkmate. Am I intellectually superior to you? I have no idea, but this was almost too easy. Here is conclusive proof you are full of shit. We've all known it for quite a while but I thought it might be fun to clue you in.

For the rest of the board, yes, this was admittedly self indulgent, I tried to confine it to the threads the troll had started so it wouldn't be too disruptive. Unfortunately I did post to a few others and I'm guessing I've earned myself a boycott as a troll feeder by now. Boycotting those who break the boycott is the next logical step after all, admirable initiative and it kind of explains the recent slow down on the board. I'll just put in a word for T-Bone, he helped me out at my request even though his preference is for a boycott, so don't hold it against him. He fed the troll as a favor to me.

I thought that there was a chance that since davids always wants to be right, or at least taken seriously (which it has been obvious nobody does for quite some time) being confronted with undeniable proof he had lied might at least make him change identities and lie low for a while. It looks like he was going to until he goofed and used the wrong window to post his farewell. Unfortunately I get the feeling that shame and embarrassment are foreign to him and he'll rationalize this somehow and continue to post. He'll become a second RL (which is a very weird concept), asking questions we've already answered ad nauseam, never expecting an answer but bumping because he somehow thinks these questions are some sort of insightful uncomfortable truth, assuming that we have never thought of, let alone reconciled these things in our minds.

So what did this accomplish? Probably nothing, but I sure had fun and I get the feeling some of you will enjoy my little story.
