Like many of us, I'm not a fan of feature entertainers - but sometimes you show up at a club to see a favorite and discover there is a feature that night.
Anyway, several shows I've seen, fire seems to be a part of the act. During show I saw Saturday night, there were two large urns with flames on either side of the stage and the dancer twirled a fire stick.
I know I'm a Nervous Nellie, but am I unjustified in being just a little nervous about the open flames? Anyone remember the Connecticut night club fire about 10 years ago when about 100 people died during a pyrotechnic show and couldn't get out in time?

Yes, you're justified to be nervous. You're referring to the Great White show in CT. On a related note, I remember attending a Paul McCartney concert that had huge fireballs as part of his "Live and Let Die" song. I could feel the heat from my seat, but luckily no rampaging fire or stampede from the thousands in the stands.
