Fire!

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life
Like many of us, I'm not a fan of feature entertainers - but sometimes you show up at a club to see a favorite and discover there is a feature that night.

Anyway, several shows I've seen, fire seems to be a part of the act. During show I saw Saturday night, there were two large urns with flames on either side of the stage and the dancer twirled a fire stick.

I know I'm a Nervous Nellie, but am I unjustified in being just a *little* nervous about the open flames? Anyone remember the Connecticut night club fire about 10 years ago when about 100 people died during a pyrotechnic show and couldn't get out in time?

Yes, you're justified to be nervous. You're referring to the Great White show in CT. On a related note, I remember attending a Paul McCartney concert that had huge fireballs as part of his "Live and Let Die" song. I could feel the heat from my seat, but luckily no rampaging fire or stampede from the thousands in the stands.

Don't shout the words shoot or fire in Connecticut right now.

I think it was in Rhode Island and the walls and ceiling were covered with that black egg-crate styrofoam stuff that is really combustible. Place went up in a matter of seconds. So, I would look for any type of wall insulation like that stuff or wall hangings or crap that would go up if the flash pot stuff malfunctioned. A table by the door might not be a bad thing.

I don't know that I ever went to a club with a feature dancer which had fire in the act, but I've seen plenty with water.

A stripclub with "large urns of fire" doesn't seema like a good idea for any reason.

    that's what I thought too!

And to top it off, she was boring. Good body but older looking face. From her web site, she is a touring stripper, not a porn actress.

I never recognize any of these feature porn star models since I don't follow any specific porn star. If there is a show using fire as tool, I'm staanding close to the exit or straight up leaving

I guess I'm not being too paranoid.

At least 230 people were killed in a night club fire in Brazi last night when a band member may have set off a pyrotechnic device
