A Pierson man is facing felony charges after investigators said he drove an SUV through a crowd of people outside of a strip club.

The ordeal unfolded outside Pin Ups Gentlemen's Club off Highway 17 near DeLand. The terrifying incident was caught on surveillance video.

Police said two people were injured when 25-year-old Travis Galbraith drove his SUV through the parking lot and into a crowd of people outside the De Leon Springs strip club.

Club owner Tim Blakeslee was trying to prevent a fight between two groups that were arguing when Galbraith got in his Lexus, police said.

"The suspect backed up and drove into a crowd of us about 12 and as I'm running and trying to get out of the way and push everyone else out of the way, he turned into me so I just jumped up, rolled over his car and hit the ground," said Blakeslee.

Police said Galbraith then circled back around and came speeding toward the crowd again.

"As I'm lying on the ground trying to figure out if I have all my body parts, he drove up the road, turned around and came back in, flying, doing about 40 mph and if I hadn't got up and ran he would have killed me," said Blakeslee.

Galbraith is charged will aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and he's currently in the Volusia County Jail.

Blakeslee said he's glad to be alive, but he's also disappointed.

"I was supposed to start the police academy tomorrow and they pretty much told me I wasn't fit enough physically to start," said Blakeslee.

The other man who was injured in the incident was treated at the scene and released.

Blakeslee said he recognized the suspect as a regular at the bar and said he even called in after it happened and asked him not to call the police.

Great plan, I ran over a guy once on my driveway. He'll never throw eggs at my house again. LOL
