A first.....that I know of

Avatar for motorhead
motorheadFat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life

I just read something today on the Michigan TwoSheds board.

At a relatively new club that opened, one of the DJ's is a former dancer.

In 30+ years of clubbing, I thought I had seen it all:

Waitresses becoming dancers

Shot girls becoming dancers

Dancers becoming bartenders

Dancers becoming dance counters

Dancers beooming club managers

But I can't say I have ever seen a dancer move to the DJ booth. That's a first in my experience. It seems like it's a male dominated profession - although probably the best DJ I ever knew in a club was a female.

I know this isn't the most interesting topic in the world, but other than Clubber commencing with radio silence, it's a pretty slow day on the board.

Another thread discussed annoying DJs. Some comments were posted about replacing DJs with electronic jukeboxes. Would a female DJ bring a different feel or style to the clubs music? She couldn't be more annoying than the talky DJs that give us air pollution. Might be a pleasant change.

I would love to hear a female DJ in the clubs I go to. I've seen photos of some very hot female DJs. Would be nice to see some in clubs.

I did get to enjoy a female disc jockey at a formerly favorite club of mine and she was great! This was at the Strip Joint, Pomona, CA in 2005-06. She was the former dancer, "Trinity" who took a hand at making the music. When she had control of the music choices she chose mostly soft style songs that gave the club a different vibe. The dancers loved her work since she had just been a dancer herself and knew how a deejay's work affected dancers. The customers loved her soft sexy, sensous voice. She was only the second woman d.j. I ever experienced. I'd glady like to see more!

I've seen it only once - a dancer who was obviously experienced as a DJ filled in for about 3 months when the daytime DJ was killed in a motorcycle crash. She was awesome, but decided that the money was much better dancing, and returned to it once they found a new DJ.

Kappa Kabanna in central IL sometimes has a female DJ. Probably was not a dancer as she's a little older and not so thin. But does a fine job as DJ. A good DJ is like a good baseball umpire or football referee... if you don't really notice them, they're GREAT!

Atypical but not uncommon, at least in smaller clubs. I've seen it happen at a couple of them. In one, after a dancer became pregnant and it began to show, they let her DJ when she couldn't dance no more.

John's Hot Spot in Belleville has a night shift DJ who is a former dancer. I've seen a few others over the years who, while I am not positive that they danced, had such obvious bolt-ons that one can suspect.

I've also seen a dancer become a shot girl and a dancer become a waitress. The dancer turned waitress was pregnant but it wasn't obvious for a few more months.

I've seen more than one dancer become a waitress.

Here's some others

dancer to real estate agent

dancer to dental hygienist

dancer to lawyer

dancer to veterinarian

"dancer to lawyer"

There has to be a joke in there. Someting about changing jobs but still screwing people. But it's midnight and I'm too tired to think up the punch line

shadow,

maybe PP can get rid of their annoying ass DJs and their crappy too loud music. I never thought a DJ could ruin a good time when their are hot naked women and alcohol, but they did.
