What to do with gift intended for old favorite?

I doubt anyone remembers, but last year I made a couple of sappy threads (http://www.tuscl.net/postread.php?PID=13…, http://www.tuscl.net/postread.php?PID=13… losing contact with old favorites, and then moving away from the area altogether. Today, I've been trying to clear out space and get rid of things I don't need. I was going through a box and found a gift I had intended for one of those ladies. It's a bottle of very nice (and very expensive) perfume that she always wore. It's still in the original box and bag from when I purchased it.

What should I do with it?

Should I give it to someone else? Over the past year-and-a-half, the only club experiences I've had are disappointing, one-off type visits, so presently I don't have any favorite dancers. On the other hand, I have visited a girl at a massage parlor a few times and took her to dinner after my last visit. I haven't noticed her wearing any perfume though, and my understanding is that women like to choose the scents for themselvs and so the gift might not go over well.

Should I post it on the 'singles' section of Craigslist and see what responses I get?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

"Should I give it to someone else?" Duh unless you would rather wear it.

wow, that reminds me of a simular experience. I travel over seas and a dancer at my favorite club (at that time and space) upon learning I was heading across the pond asked me to look up a special stone. I didn't think too much of it but as it turned out I was in a art fair in London and actually saw the stone she spoke of. I couldn't help but purchase it, I mean what are the chances that she actually knew fore what she spoke of. So I bring it home and head off to the club to give it to her. I expected nothing, I pretty much enjoyed the experience. But she was not there and I have never seen her since. I mean prior to this I could always count on her being there, have not seen her since. Damm now I have to look for this piece of jewerly and figure out what to do with it.

Some funny responses. I'm just not sure how to give it away. It's tacky to say 'Well, I bought this for someone else, but I guess you can have it.' But perfume is kind of a hard gift since a lot of girls don't wear it, or won't wear it if they don't choose it themselves.

Is it sealed? If not, then ya got to throw it away or give it to someone who knows who you are. Otherwise no one else will want it.

    Digie,

You said, "But perfume is kind of a hard gift since a lot of girls don't wear it, or won't wear it if they don't choose it themselves." Well, just give it to one you DON'T care for or one of those that keeps annoying you and say, "Hey, I bought you a gift. Perfume, so you won't smell so awful." That should work!

I'm liking the Craigs list option. "I have a lovely bottle of XXXXX. Let's spend some time dabbing little touches on spots all over your body and comparing the effect. Please include your picture with your response."

    Yeah, that should work. :)
