Strip Club Keeps Low Profile During First Year

"When the business first opened we were working directly with the owners," says Grand Junction Police spokesperson Kate Porras, "and had an increased amount of officer activity out there just to make sure things were going okay."
Out of 124 calls to the property, about 80 of them were officer-initiated.
Though there hasn't been any major criminal activity, some of the neighbors have their own issues with the new club.
One neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous tells us he's had a problem with people parking in his parking lot and urinating on his building.
Another says he's had to tow cars of people who got arrested leaving the club.
While it's a hassle, the police department says it's no different from any other bar district.
"You're going to see a lot of the typical things you see any time you see an establishment that sells liquor," Porras says. "Fights, offenses involving people being drunk or intoxicated, we haven't really seen anything major."
Our calls to Fantasy's owner on the subject were not returned.
