i used to live in dallas, and the lodge was the place to go and has won multiple industry awards, so before you go on a this is a bad review do some homework as ratings you forget are mostly opinions.
some obviously are at times by the club people themselves, but its never good to assume all are
A review, good or bad is fine. What we try to eliminate are false reviews written just to try and boost a clubs ranking or lure unsuspecting customers.
Seeing as you've entered ZERO reviews, I wouldn't worry about it. :)
i read the lodge review and thought it might be kinda legit, then i saw the poster's name and i figured she was a dancer there, reread the review and came to the conclusion that she was self promoting the club.
But take a look @ "therocket" on 1/18/11. Recent joiner; only review. Obvious shill trying to upsell yearly VIP & $$$$ spending. What's most galling is how badly written a shill it is. I have no dog in this rating race -- never visited any Dallas area clubs.
Times ARE tough but this is pathetic. Low on description -- writer needn't have even visited just read earlier reviews and exaggerate. Little SPECIFICALLY said to support rating or opinions. Lots of superlatives and name dropping [Dom Perignon, Nieman Marcus] to impress the naive and elevate writer's image.
World traveler but makes no comparison to other Dallas clubs or clubs in other cities mentioned. Oh, I love the Macy's - Nieman Marcus metaphor comparing downstairs to VIP. Yeah, first metaphor that would come to mind for most guys.
Writer brags about spending so much $$$ but could make a "date" w/ upscale escort service, choose own restaurant [Surely, Dom Perignon must be available elsewhere in Dallas!!], choose a nice discreet but upscale hotel and enjoy much more than a overpriced 2-way LD.
It's so pathetic an attempt that I find it insulting writer would believe members would buy it. And I did review several pages of Lodge reviews for comparison.
In my flag I asked Founder if there had bween an usual number of new members joining since beginning of 2011, since many of these reviews written by newbies.
Questions for the TUSCL regulars and old timers: Have you noticed an uptick in shill reviews or has the # been pretty steady over the years and it's just being written up because of addition of Flag this review?
Second, I noticed many reviews, not shills, but low on facts and info and high on opinion. You notice or not? Yea, guys are driven to add a "quikie" to extend VIP membership but...
Third, another grip -- club ratings inconsistent with written comments. Eight to 10 ratings on physical, dancers, value but with writer voicing disappointment or significant negatives about experience. Your thoughts gentlemen.
