Daryl Hannah Helps Oregon Police Fight Sex Trafficking

Actress and activist Daryl Hannah is taking a stand against sex trafficking, even riding along with Oregon cops as they patrolled strip bars and areas known for prostitution.

Daryl Hannah, an actress most known for her roles in “Kill Bill" and “Splash,” is taking a stand against sex trafficking.

The actress was in Portland, Oregon to attend a weekend conference on sex trafficking, where she did a ride-along with police. Hannah said she was stunned to see so many young women with pimps.

Daryl told KGW.com, “I was shocked at what I learned. Most of the girls in these strip clubs are not just girls looking to make cash; a majority are represented by pimps.”

Hannah is also in support of a bill sponsored by U.S. Senator Ron Wyden that would fund shelters for young women to help them escape sex trafficking, explaining, “To learn there are no shelters specifically for victims of trafficking is absolutely shocking.”

    She seems like she should be hotter than she is. I remember seeing some naked pics of her several years ago (Playboy maybe?) and thinking that it was a disappointment. She seems too stretched out to me.

    She had decent, though skinny, looks when she was younger...now I just find her to be scarry looking. When I was in portland I never saw anything that looked like a streetwalker and the one SC I went to was sooooooo tame. I guess I missed out! There were a hell of a lot of homeless people in portland though.

    I always liked her back in the day when she played the mermaid in whatever that movie was and after when she was dating JFK Jr. She had that natural look about her.

    Back in the 80s I used to see Daryl Hannah around town a lot, usually wearing jeans and a hoodie - like any other low-key 20-something. Always in a hoodie though - for one thing she was really shy, for another she was supposedly hiding bruises. Jackson Browne, who she was dating at the time, supposedly beat the crap out of her.

    Anyway she was very beautiful, with the most perfect fair skin. I'm sure she still is.

    Hollywood is full of pretty people, but most of it is packaging - hair and makeup, and clothes. There are a few real standouts though, and Daryl Hannah was/is definitely one of them.

    Super hot in "Blade Runner." That was, of course, the 1980s. In a related note, Portland had a seriously rocking strip joint vibe in the 80s. Most clubs had a bar out front, and a jack joint in the back.

    Maybe she is reliving the past.
