Why are people putting up oversized pictures with their reviews?

I've been noticing that people have been posting pictures with their reviews. It's been making it a little bit of a pain to get around on the home page. Anyone got any comments on this?

    I think it is their profile pic that is being shown. It helps you recognize the user name easier.

    I don't know if it is a good thing or bad thing but right now it seems like only a small percent use the feature so it has not been too noticeable for me.

    yeah, I like looking at hot chicks, like samsung1's gal, I know my gal's pics are popular. I don't find it to be a problem, bigdude012
