Baltimore's Block

Seeing articles about other SC areas, I thought one about the area I frequent would be in order. Baltimore Maryland’s Block is a collection of 15 or 16 SC’s all within a 2 block and side-street area. The Clubs range from Larry Flint’s Hustlers Club (HC) to some small and seedy places way past their prime. Just a short walk north of the Harbor Place or a quick cab ride from the Baseball and Football stadiums, it is in the middle of downtown. If driving, I recommend parking in one of the garages checking to make sure you can get out at a late hour. The area is fairly safe as the central police station is at one end of the Block. LE can be an issue, but the clubs know most of the officers and can provide warnings. The Legislature regulates SC’s through allowing alcohol to be served or not. Clubs in Maryland tend to be either BYOB with full nudity or alcohol with little or no nudity. They have made an exception for the long standing block so if you want full nudity and a beer, the block is the place to go. Except the HC, the clubs tend to be long narrow places with the stage separated from seating by the bar and have no cover charge. Although most clubs are ethnically diverse, some are primarily either chocolate or vanilla. A good practice is to step in the door and see if the place is to your taste. If not the next SC is only a few steps away.

Depending on the bar and time of day the girls may range from stunning to out rightly ugly. Generally, I have found them to be in the 6 to 8 range. Baltimore is not FL or CA so six foot blonds are not a regular sight.

Standard fair is to sit at the bar where you will quickly be asked about a drink and approached by a dancer. Some firmness may be needed. Drinks and conversation cost a $20 to $30 drink for the lady and $7 to $15 for yourself. A Block hand shake and freely roaming hands are usually allowed but YMMV. More private drinks at the end of the bar or lap dances if they have the space are from $60 to $120. Again YMMV. VIP’s are usually offered at this point and can range from $160 to $200 plus tip. Champaign rooms are generally not 5 star but some like the one at Chey Joey are very nice indeed. Expect to pay for what you get.

The Block is a hit or miss place. Sometimes the same bar the same time one week later will vary from hot and friendly to ugly and uncooperative. With all the choices available within walking distance, it is a rare time when I give up and leave the Block to go elsewhere. A review of the TUSCL pages should serve as a guide in selecting a club. Of the bars, I would recommend the following:

Club Harem
Chey Joey
Hustler Club – 9 to 10 scale women but high priced and low mileage

i used to regular the block alot during the 05-06 time frame and recently earlier this year made a few visits.. i will say some things are the same but alot has changed.. as i noticed the block is ever changing and hit or miss as you said some nights youll go to a club like club harem which is usualy a waste, and find a gem since i live a little further 45 mins away and there are plenty of clubs closer to me i chose not to visit the block often but its still a decent place to go and its always fun because how lucky you can get to find that hottie and get that high mileage

I agree with this post. Hustler is one of the best clubs I have been to in terms of dancer beauty and club beauty, but low mileage. The few times I have been to Pussycat I was unimpressed with the talent, but was impressed with the talent at Jewel Box during the night shift. It is indeed an interesting experience, and only a $10 cab ride from where I'm at.

If you're in DC with some time to kill, take the train to Baltimore. Public transportation to get close to the block is easy. All told maybe an hour each way. Sure beats anything you'll find in Washington.
