Strip clubs, Adult Entertainment and Charlie

We may be living in interesting times but I don't think of it as a Chinese curse but more like the second sexual revolution that is taking place completely underground in strip clubs and sites like these and has manifested itself in pop culture in the form of Charlie Sheen!

I think this revolution has alot of benefits but a growing number of opponents, as well as a life soundtrack much like the first revolution except this one has hip hop and rock driving it. I'll start with my own personal journey and then move on to the bigger picture. My journey probably started back in 1999 out of college and seeing all that the club scene had to offer. Back then I was still going to "regular" clubs: bars, nightclubs, etc. The first change was seeing the preparation and cermony involved with that only to come home drunk and horny. Fast forward to internet access and a switch to ttity bars for half the regular club fee and there was no turning back. Typical journey but what's different is the second act.

I think of myself as a fairly good looking guy with a fair amount of intelligence. That said, somewhere around 2003 or so, I was supposed to retire from it all, strip clubs, etc. and get married and live happily ever after...not so. I wont go into details but the condensed version is something like this, I realized that what I'd just done was graduated from the school of hard knock. I came from a good family but a rough neighborhood that had devoured almost everyone but me. The idea of saying thanks to the world and turning into a TV dad didn't sit well with me. I tried to change careers and that didn't work well but prior to that I took a trip to Brazil and saw the freedom of life amidst third world poverty and felt a kinship. Then I felt that same kinship in the strip clubs, etc. I dont want to overly romantisize it but it's not all "anything for drugs" or "help they keep me locked in the back" either.

To make a long story short, I'll say this, it's freed me in ways I'd never imagined and allowed me to see things in a different light with a different clarity. I work out in the gym religiously now too since I'm getting older. I'm even contemplating opening my own club, I mean at the heart of it, I would sell beers and an environment, not pussy. Another aspect of it is socially, it breaking down barriers no one ever dreamed would be broken or even needed too. During the 90's first Bush era, everyone was back on edge racially today go to practically any club in America on any night and see businesss men and baseball hat wearing minorities all become just "guys" waiting on a lap dance. I realized each and every dancer may have also graduated from Hard Knocks (not all bad, but not all good university) and like myself they made it through, they're fine and are making more money without a college degree than I make with one.

Lastly, let's face it: we all love sex. I saw how organized guys where in this lifestyle on these sites and it inspired me to organize as well. I'm an alternative lifestyle of different sorts for fellows like myself who get through all that but unfortunately this society still says I must remain anonomyus, henceforth, ironically Charlie Sheen emerges on the life scene at the very same time. Change is coming folks and this lifestyle aint for everyone but it aint as bad as some would have you to believe.

Good content. I like it, I agree with it.

There was a documentary that ran over July 4th 2010 weekend,i believe it was on MSNBC in which escorts totally outted www.theeroticreview.com and the whole process of online meetups with escorts.

I suspect there will eventually be a similar documentary someday about our hobby as well.

I have spent 20 years preferring the company of dancers to girls you engage with "in the real world". There is no comparison in how much better you feel with the former than the latter.

The only problem, is when you get to be 40 like me, you start questioning whether you ever want to have kids and how that fits in...
