I was in New Orleans recently...

I was in New Orleans recently on business, and had just one free night to explore the Bourbon Street strip clubs. Initially, I stopped in to Temptations, but there was not much going on there, and I left after about 15 minutes. I wandered down to Stilettos, and stopped in for what I thought would be a beer or two. It turned out to be a whole lot more.

Stilettos is a fairly small place. A bar as you walk in, with maybe 15 small tables arranged around a small stage (probably no more than 8 feet in length). Later in the evening, I found out that they also have a "Spotlight Stage", which is on the front wall, and is just barely big enough for one girl, with, obviously, a spotlight shining on her. The spotlight stage was used sparingly during the night.

There were probably around 8-10 girls there when I walked in, and maybe 6 tables with guys at them. Shortly after sitting down, the waitress took my drink order ($5 beers), and shortly after, the first free dancer sat down next to me. Like all of the girls that night, she was very attractive, maybe late 20s. Just idle chit-chat for a while, before she asked about a private dance. She said that the private dances were 40 for one song or 100 for 3. I don't usually jump on the first girl I see, and didn't that night. Despite telling her that I may do a dance later, she stayed seated next to me while she waited for her turn on stage. While she was on stage, another attractive girl sat down and went through the same routine. It was definitely not a hard sell. They each seemed Ok with just sitting and chatting (I imagine if it were busier, they may have moved on - maybe I was just lucky that it was a slow night).
