I went to Club Lexx yesterday...

I went to Club Lexx yesterday afternoon for a couple of beers and had such a great time that I dropped my car off and went back in the evening. Although this is a black bar and I am white, I felt very confortable.

Anyway, when I went in the front door, I was patted down which has not happened to me in a long time. I guess that should make me feel safer so long as everyone is patted down. The club, by the way, is in a rough neighborhood. There was no parking charge and the lot is fenced off. Also there was no cover charge either. The place is a bit sparce, with basic chairs and tables. Domestic beers during happy hour were only $3 and I was informed by one of the strippers that Happy Hour continued to 10:00 PM.

The girls all danced in the center of the club behind the bar which kind of made tipping problematic. There was a side stage, but that was hardly used at least while I was there. The dances were only $5 per song and the girls were all very friendly with full contact. I only felt overcharged once when one stripper told me she had danced for four songs. At $5 a song, I was not going to complain. There is a VIP room for $15, but I didn't try it. The strippers on average were pretty decent looking, although 1 or 2 could have been described as fat or old. There was only 1 bartender and 1 waitress on staff and the waitress looked very busy. For a Wednesday night there was a decent crowd. The music was hip hop which I could have done without but after a couple of beers it really didn't matter.
