This club is across the highway...

This club is across the highway 169 from Bonita Flats. It's on the west side of the road about 235th street. It's a fairly attractive bldg., paved albeit somewhat pot-holey parking lot. I've been a member off n on for several years. A first-time fav moved to Lawrence a few yr. ago so on rare occasions I visit The Flamingo. The afternoons aren't usu very busy so I guess my main problem is that I'm whimpy and allow one to monopolize too much. There weren't many dancers last Fri. so that shouldn't be a problem-better than no company! But she doesn't really give a lot, so more variety would be appreciated. I don't recall if the annual membership is 10 or 15. I 've rarely gone to the vip-it's been a long time believe 25 to go in the day & I think 35 for night. I'm never around late enuf. Vip LD's are 20, and the ones in the commons are 10. Pasties are the rule-in days gone by some would allow that to slip. Once in a while the bouncer-dj would make rounds to see that the nips were covered=tough job,eh? I wasn't hit up for the juke box the past couple times I was there, But I think they still col. for it. Of course my preference would be the other box! I'll most likely return, but also plan on other clubs in the Lawrence area as well. Bout forgot- I usu. give $5 for mixed drink,& that generally includes a 2 for a tip.
