New establishment 2 doors down from Bottoms Up. Formerly Big Daddy O's & owned by same people as Hooters in Edinbro & DD in Glasgow. Now independent. Decor all blue. As you go in, you pass between 2 sets of drapes. Behind these are the dance areas. up a short flight of stairs is the bar (left) then a small pole dancing stage, and a large lounge area. I arrived about 10pm on a Friday. I bought my drink (bottled beer £3) and sat down. Several other guys or groups of guys were also sitting talking to girls or each other but it was not particularly busy. A slim attractive Romanian girl (Melissa) came over and sat with me and chatted. She explained the background to the club and the prices etc - pretty standard £10 for 3-minute dance but you pay at the bar, not to the girl. I took a £20 dance with her - the floors of the dance area (well lit) are tiled and the girls have sheepskin rugs which they spread on the floor to do part of the dance on. Dance was fully nude, totally 1-way, limited contact but enjoyable. Thought I would stay & try at least 1 more dance with another girl (for research purposes) but when I returned to my seat in the lounge, Melissa joined me again. So, we chatted a bit more, mainly about her, while I eyeballed the other girls. I saw about 6 or 7, mixed ethnicity, all quite attractive but no 10s, and no stage show. Eventually I took a second £20 dance before leaving. I liked the friendly, no-hustle atmosphere of Sapphire Rooms and it compares well with Glasgow clubs but Fantasy Palace still knocks it into a cocked hat for choice of girls and mileage.
