This is probably one of the...
This is probably one of the most famous clubs in Montreal...probably due in part to the fact that they used to advertise on TV down in the States (even more that Bar Chez Diane used to). They also have probably the largest neon sign along St. Catherine Street (which is funny given the very modest door entrance that they have at street level below the sign)...that plus the club's name gives it generally a high profile with tourists. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to get caught standing in a long line to get into this club though...just go right next door to Club Super Contact (the two clubs are owned by the same entity and a lot of dancers actually circulate between the 2 clubs). This club is a great place to watch a show and take in the sights of the younger college-type kids trying desperately to interact with the Canadian strippers. One of the funniest things that I ever saw here was a U.S. college kid trying to tip a naked stage dancer with a Loonie (a Canadian dollar coin)...she gave him a look that was like "I dunno where you think you're going to put that coin kid, but forget it!". :) I've been to this club a few times over the years, and it's basically very overrated.
The drinks are very costly here, and the staff can be kind of pushy. I got talked to just for trying to put my feet up and relax here. Also expect to be required to have a drink in front of you at all times. There was a manditory coat check and bouncer escort service to your seat...for which tipping was expected for both activities. The upstairs climb to get to this club is quite long (there might be an elevator though), and the club is quite large once you get past the coat check and bouncer area. As you enter, there'll be a main, circular, elevated stage in the middle of the room...with the bar to your immediate left, the DJ area on the left side of the room, the small, dirty bathrooms in the back of the room on the left, a restaurant-booth style lap dance area in the the back of the room, and an elevated seating area on the right side of the room. There is also ample seating around the main stage. I remember there being some "private" lesbian shows going on over in the corner between the DJ and bar areas...so you might get a glance at that kind of action for "free". I've never gotten a dance here...so I can't really go into the details of the dancing facilities. Most of the dance action appeared to go on upstairs though...similar to next door at Super Contact. I've heard that these two clubs have shared (or still do share) dancer's dressing rooms and private dance areas.
The quoted dance prices (which are displayed on the wall) seemed very expensive for what you might get, but I've heard that the 2-girl lesbian shows here are mind-blowing. Rumor has it that this club has converted over to "contact" dances recently, but the dances here were notoriously low-contact in the past. I've also heard that the daytime buffet here can be worth the trip in itself.
