Just managed a short visit to the Western last Sunday afternoon as an interlude to a slightly longer session at the Burke & Hare across the road. No entry fee and dances £10 a song.

The Western was extremely quiet when I first came in with about 3 drinkers and only one dancer present, an asian girl (5). 2 more girls (8s) came in very shortly after I arrived though and the Geordie lads (see B&H review) followed. One of the new arrivals, a mixed race girl called Alexa (I think) did the rounds. Encouraged by the Geordies, who had decided my name was Joe, I accepted her invitation. The experience was OK value, but I knew by then I would go back over to the B&H to see Nicki again before my free time was used up.
