Flew into Portland Jetport and had some time to kill before venturing to Maine's great white north. Was only about a 10 minute drive with my rental car. Got there about 1p (I think they opened at noon on Friday). Large parking lot in a neighborhood of suburban brick office buildings that holds a Ramada and a Home Depot, easy access to I-95.

From studying TUSCL, I was expecting an $8 cover and a wand-down, but nobody was at the door and I just walked in. Large 2-story club and it took me several minutes for my eyes to adjust to the low lighting. I spotted the small bar to the right and went over to grab a seat and get a local craft beer (got change back from my ten-spot).

At the bar were four dancers: thicc, thicker and thickest, and a mother of three. The main stage is right in front of the bar, and there was a whirling dervish of a dancer just strutting around on stage like a rooster. I felt like my weekend was off to a strangely entertaining, if not a bit disappointing, start. A couple of other dancers occasionally rotated onto the stage - some took off their tops, some seemed too bored too - and the rooster returned whenever the stage was open for a while. There were two smaller stages, going unused, in the club. The lapdance room was in the front left and the VIP area was upstairs. The bathroom was unisex, clean, and had no troll.
