Hannukah Party in West Philly?

I drove out of my way on the Friday before Christmas to see what was happening at La Pearl and the Outer Space Club. I thought with the Holidays coming there might be some special activities taking place. I walked in and I was immediately confronted by a whole array of blue and white ballons going up the stairs. I guess they celebrated Hannukah two weeks ago? Not much was happening at 4:15 but the bouncer at the door was quick to say “THE dancer was getting dressed and would be out shortly.” That was not a good sign for extra activities like on a Sunday afternoon at La Pearl. Sure enough within 5 minutes Barbie came out of the “dressing room” (the old pool room downstairs) and made a beeline for me because I had taken a seat near the far end of the bar. After dancing for a song or two and allowing some modest touching, she asked if I wanted to go VIP. She said that she could be very friendly there. She did not have the greatest figure so I decided to wait to see who else came in. I should have accepted her offer. In the next hour and a quarter three more dancers came in, and by 7:00 pm there were four more. One interesting moment was when one of the largest dancers I have ever seen in this place stepped up on the stage upstairs, and disrobed for an hour. She did not do much dancing, but she enjoyed being comfortable even while she was laying on the stage floor with her heels near her knees. One other dancer used the opposite end of the stage for similar – but less revealing -- activities. All in all 5 of the 8 women on this night were BBWs. Some liked to dance, but some only wanted to pocket your money without earning it. Ended up being an okay night, but not the best by LP and OSC standards. At least the traffic was lighter going home.
