Checked out this Venue
A fav from another club told me she was going to try out Venue, so I decided to stop by and check it out.
I arrived at around 6 pm. I hadn’t been out to Venue in a long time. There always seems to be a lot of cars in the parking lot whenever I go to Venue. Venue is across the street from Club 205. Usually people just go back and forth between Venue and 205. 205 doesn’t allow any reentry, so if going to 205 you would want to go to Venue first. If you leave 205 to go to Venue, they won’t let you back at 205 for the rest of the day/night.
Anyways, back to Venue. I saw a bouncer I knew pretty well, no pat down or ID check for me. It did look like other patrons had to scan in their ID, but I’m not 100% sure about that. I hear on the weekends it’s a 10 buck cover, but I do not think there’s any cover on the weekdays. I remember the DJ booth used to be on the left when you walk in, but now the DJ booth is across the room by the lapdance booths. They still have some lottery machines. It is definitely a dive club, the patrons were blue collar workers. They had one main stage, and then a second stage behind that (it wasn’t in use on this day). Drinks were cheaper than the upscale clubs.
