The Venue

I strolled in to The Venue on a recent Friday late afternoon around 5:30 pm, I came from Club 205 (across the street). 205 was busy but no girls my type so off to Venue. At Venue they do a pat down, and if I remember correctly, they scanned my ID. No cover. I think on Friday and Saturday nights starting sometime after 9 there’s a cover of 5 or 10 bucks. Venue is a dive club feel. Dress code at the dive clubs are lot more loose than the upscale clubs. I walked in with basketball shorts, at Club Rouge for example they wouldn’t let me in with basketball shorts. It was pretty busy on this afternoon. What I’ve noticed about the dive clubs in Portland is usually the busiest time is not a Friday night or Saturday night like most clubs, the busiest time is happy hour 5 to 6:30 when people are getting off on work. Quite a few customers here on this day. The customers here are more of the blue collar type. Venue is known for the biker gang customer base, I’ve generally only seen them at night when I’ve been to Venue in the past. Venue is a mid-sized club, in the back of the club are some lottery machines, all the lottery machines were taken on this day. There are 2 stages, both stages were in use on this day, 2 song sets. Music was a mix of rock and hip hop. Drink prices were normal, I did find that club 205 drinks were considerably cheaper than Venue’s drinks at happy hour time. There were about 10 girls on this day. A few decent ones in the 7 range, rest of the girls were in the 5-6 range. Some white girls, a few Latinas, and a couple of mixed race girls. The girls were mainly in the mid 20’s through early 30’s. There were some bigger girls there, but there were also some skinny girls there as well. Dances are done in a curtained area behind the DJ booth. The dances are 1 song for 40 bucks and 3 songs for 100 bucks, at least that’s what the 2 girls that I got dances with told me. I have seen in previous reviews that girls choose their own prices. I’m not sure what the half hour and hour prices are. Dance with 1st girl: I had my eyes on getting dances from this thick Latina there, but she was busy. I decided I was going to wait it out for her. In the meantime this mixed-race girl kept coming by and trying to convince me to do some dances. She wasn’t my ideal body type, but she was touching me at the bar in all the right places, so I decided to give in and some dances. Dances were very solid with 2 way contact, I didn’t try to touch down there, she told me to bite her shoulder, sensual kissing of my neck and ears. Dance with 2nd girl: This thick Latina I referenced in the paragraph is who I had my eyes on. I tipped her on stage and then she came over and we chatted for a couple of minutes. She asked me for a dance, I had just gotten there, so I said maybe later. That might have been a mistake because it turned out she was the hottest one there, and then was busy for the next 2 hours lol. I eventually tracked her down when she was free and we got some dances. Her dances were better than the 1st girl, all the sensual stuff and 2 way contact like 1st girl, but on top of that she encouraged me to feel her down there, in fact she guided my fingers down there. I have seen in previous reviews that there are cameras in the lap dance area, I’m not sure if management actually looks at the cameras. Lastly, I have heard Venue is not going to be a strip club anymore, they are going to turn it into a Hooters or something? I have heard this for months, I’m not sure when this is actually going to happen, but until then I’ll stop by here once a month or so.

The venue isn't very nice. Furniture is run down. Building looks like it badly needs a renovation from the outside. I've seen vacant buildings that look nicer. I think I heard there are plans to redevelop the site. Bar is on the right when you walk in. Bartender isn't the most attentive, but that's cool. I don't drink myself, but I've bought drinks for dancers. I think I paid around ten bucks for a mixed drink. There are a half dozen video poker machines in an alcove near the back. Dancers are usually a mix of white girls and latinas. Seems like you can get decent mileage with the white girls. The latinas are really high mileage. Last time I was in there, I got a private dance with a woman that said she was Cuban. She said she wanted to go into a specific booth because the cameras weren't working. She said it was full two way contact, and immediately had her hand down my pants. She was all business, and she wasted no time. I paid $100. I've definitely paid a lot more for a lot less extras at other places around town. Definitely not the place to go if you're looking for really attractive girls. But if you're aiming for high mileage, this is the place. Club 205 is right across the street, and the girls are significantly more attractive there. But they don't generally offer a whole lot for your money there. I have no idea if the food is any good, or if they even serve food. Judging by the appearance, it's probably not a place you want to be eating anyway.

This place is a dive bar type of strip club but very chill, I’ve been about 6 times before. Not upscale, clientele in the day is more older guys and construction workers. Feels like a lot of local regulars. Recently stopped in on a Thursday around 2:30pm. There were 5-6 dancers working and I was attracted to the three petite ones. Mix of latina, white and AA, a couple were chubby. Absolutely no pressure, in fact maybe too little pressure, it was about 40 minutes before I talked to a girl (the girls I was interested were busy with other customers). Visited the Venue at an off time, about 1 pm on a Monday. Maybe 6 customers, 4 or 5 dancers. Dancers were doing 3-song sets (usually 2-song, but not too many dancers present). All got full nude for last one or two dances. Half the customers were at video poker machines. I sat at the rack for two ho-hum dancers. Nice people but not my preferred shapes. One had a few extra pounds; not too many, but none of it went to her boobs. One went over the rack to sit in a customer's lap; I think she had just come from a private dance with him. I didn't see any Cubanas; would have gone back with the girl I got a dance from on my last visit. Then Layla got on the stage. She's tall, six feet before counting the five-inch heels. They'll probably repurpose as a fast-food place. If they just took over the business, no naked dancers on Sundays.

2pm 0 cover $7.50 Jack and Coke 6-10 girls Dance prices - 3/100 to 3/140 I recently had the opportunity to visit Portland for the first time. It was an extremely short visit (not even 24 hours) but given the high density of SC's in Portland I was determined to squeeze in at least a couple clubs. I scoured TUSCL reviews and landed on two clusters of clubs. "The Venue" and "Club 205" at lunch and "DV8", "Devils Point", and "Hawthorne Strip" in the evening. "The Venue" was my first stop on my Portland SC expedition. It's about the size of your typical neighborhood restaurant. The backside of the building still displays what I must assume was the name of the restaurant that formerly occupied the premises. "Falcos" sounds like a mid-range Italian place to me. Upon entering there is a small round stage surrounded by a knee wall and seating immediately in front of you. Off to your 2 o'clock is the bar, the men's bathroom is at your 3. At the far side of the room is the entrance to the private dance area as well as a small section for some slot machine type of gaming. The decor is generally dark but the lighting was spot on. Just dim enough to create a mood but bright enough that you can easily see all the girls working the floor. There was a decent number of customers for 2pm on a random Tuesday. One group of 5-6 latino dudes drinking beers and not tipping and a 4-6 others at the bar or stage. As soon as I entered and ordered a drink at the bar Toni approached me. Toni is half Eritrean, on the thicker side but well proportioned with big natural breasts. She was super chatty but the conversation jumped around a lot and felt a bit disjointed. It had a good atmosphere, especially for the time of day, the girls looked good and the private dances exceeded my expectations for entertainment value. Seems like there might be the opportunity for more personalized services from the right dancer if that is what you are looking for. I'll definitely stop back in if I'm ever in Portland again with some time to kill.

Visiting Portland for work, I checked out The Venue and Club 205 (across the street from each other) on my first night in town. I headed back to the Venue on an afternoon to get a closer look. There was no cover and it was much quieter than my first visit, but both times I was barely able to order a drink (club soda for 5$) before I had dancers asking if I wanted private dances, which were at the Portland standard of 3 for 100. There were signs up indicating cameras, but I didn't see any, and she sure didn't act like anyone was watching. The Venue felt a little more transactional - felt like from the moment I walked in, dancers wanted to get me into the back booth as quickly as possible and drain me, financially and otherwise, as quickly as possible.
