Loud Music, Annoying DJ, Otherwise A Good Time

Woody's is a mid-sized SC on the outskirts of Cedar Rapids, IA. From I-80 take 380 N to Exit 13/Eastern Iowa Airport. (The large roadside Woody's sign can be seen from 380 N) A large truckstop/gas station next-door has plenty of food and beer (the club is BYOB/no hard liquor).

It's a classy looking club, clean inside and out, with modern furniture, lighting, bathrooms, and stages. A big pro for me are the several leather couches for seating situated around the main floor perimeter. Vaping is allowed, but the smoking area is anywhere outside the main doors.

Past the hired private armed security (wand/patdown) and ID scan/admissions breezeway is one smaller hexagonal stage with the larger rectangular stage along the back wall. While fairly well lit, the aisles to navigate the club tend to become cluttered with tables, chairs, and guests during busier nights.
