Hit this place on a Sunday...
Hit this place on a Sunday night. Granted it was Sunday and the weather was rather miserable out, but about the only reason I'd head back here is because I can get in for free over the next year. Only about five gals working, and not a one in the bunch over a '6'. It used to not be this way, so I wonder where the good dancers they used to have here went to?
I don't know when all the changes were made from the "old" Tangos (apparently the club has changed its name too..something "sports cabaret", but aside from some aesthetic improvements, they are for the large part NOT for the better. Annual membership is now $20. The red bench seats which once lined the perimeter of the main lounge are now gone. Dances are still $10 on the floor, and are $20 in VIP. They have some nice couches in there and according to the one dancer I talked to "more liberal" contact rules, but at $35 for a wristband to find out, lets just say the price tag outweighed my curiosity, esspecially considering that I didn't see anyone worth doing a $10 table dance from, let alone going to VIP. Sans one guy getting $10 dances in a far off corner, I never saw any other takers either. Most of the gals seemed to be clinging to their regulars, which would otherwise be annoying, but on this particular occasion suited me fine as I saw no one worth giving my business to. After about two sodas and 45 minutes, I cut my losses and left.
Never bought a single dance and I really regret driving all the way from Northland KC to see this disaster. A real waste of a trip IMO. I might come back within a year since I have membership to see if things improve (God knows they couldn't get much worse). If you don't have membership, I'd advice steering clear of this joint until management comes to their senses.
