Unhappy strippers and unhappy customers

Indianapolis clubs close at midnight currently so I arrived here around ten after spending an hour at the nearby Pony strip club. Entrance fee on a Saturday night was $8 with drinks being around the same price. Lap dances here are $30, which is slightly higher than average lap dance prices here in Indianapolis. Private rooms are available but I've never done one and can't provide the prices for those.

I've been coming here five or six times a year for the last decade. On this particular night I was surprised when I walked in to see only around five girls and ten customers. This is less than half of what is normal on a Saturday night. The club I had just come from, the Pony, was fairly crowded. All the club crowds are down since COVID-19 came along but not to this extent.

Everyone here looked unhappy. It started when I walked in the door and the guy sitting at the entrance started complaining to me that he was having trouble giving me correct change since the club owner had taken the lights out overhead, leaving him sitting in the dark. Then I didn't see a waitress so I went to the bar to get a drink. Right after I did that the waitress ran over (she had been sitting at a table socializing with someone) and looked unhappy she missed out on her tip. The strippers all looked unhappy and so did all the customers. In the hour I was there, I don't think I saw a single person smile. The strippers probably were unhappy with the paucity of customers and the fact that the ones who were there weren't spending money. The customers were probably unhappy because of few girls being there and the ones there mostly had the strung out junkie look.
