Rick's was the first of a few stops at strip clubs in NOLA. I was originally drawn in by the bar they had facing Bourbon St., and I hadn't intended on going in. But one drink leads to another, and there you go. Because I had been drinking at the public side of the bar, they let me in without a cover. Inside, I was taken to a seat next to the stage. Drinks were slow in coming, and for my second beer, I had to go to the counter myself. It was also a welcome chance to get out from under the A/C vent - Rick's was COLD in my shorts! I struck up a chat with two girls and bought them some moderately priced lady drinks, but when they went to do a round another blonde, with an absolute dynamite body, came over. Got very handsy and asked if I wanted a private dance. We went upstairs and came to a large empty room lined with couches. I almost laughed in her face when she quoted me $1800 for an hour. She was nice, but not worth anything like that. One awkward ride down the elevator together later, and I went back to the street.
