Got Bad Vibes About the Place. Went in Anyway.
So Montreal is in Quebec. And Quebec is a little French. Some places around Montreal are cool if you’re not into the “Parlez-vous français?” situation. Other places are not. There was a weird little white booth attached to the building at the entrance. The other reviews don’t mention it, so maybe I’m not remembering it right or it was only temporary. When I got inside the doorman only spoke French, either because he only spoke French or because he was fucking with me. A couple of places on Montreal island charged me extra because I didn’t speak French, and the crowd was obviously locals so I just smiled and paid the $5 to try and get to the bar. The gal at the bar spoke a little English, and I was uncomfortable enough that I apologized for not understanding French. A little part of me just died inside writing that, but if you don’t speak French I’ve decided to highlight the clubs where it might have been as issue.
I don’t have a good way to describe the place other than a hybrid between a country bar and shiny diner looking place. Several clubs in the area had the same vibe, so maybe that’s a thing in this part of Quebec. The beer was cheap by US standards, and I kept one in front of me for something to do while waiting for dancers to show. There was a spunky little brunette smoking outside as I walked up, but I couldn’t tell if she was a dancer or not. There was no one on stage, and no telling if they were putting one up because I couldn’t make out what the club staff was saying. There were two tall blondes walking around, both enhanced. I can’t tell from my notes if the two names are two dancer names, or the real name of one of the dancers so I’ll just leave them out.
Got dances from an older, but still pretty, blonde. I’m not a fan of fake boobs, and these were the kind that had some miles on them. But cheap dance prices can overcome a lot of minor objections. The basic dances were $10 CAN, and it’s about as much fun as a $10 dance can be. They had these little side booths built into the wall with curtains. It was a little cramped and there was unexpected amounts of flair decorating them, but having a sexy completely nude dancer grinding on you makes it workable. More fun was available than I partook of, mostly because the vibe a was a little off and I knew there was a better reviewed club (Bar Le Gentleman) down the road. Once I got there I was glad I saved my money. You should save your money and go there, too.
