Some nice changes, some same old problems

Warning - this one came out longer than I thought it would. The short version is: The lighting still sucks, the girls seem to be getting naked on stage again, and the Cuban girls are friendly and accommodating.

I stopped by Rhino fairly early in the evening, maybe around 9 or a little after. It's a little bit hidden off of the street but not hard to find. It's the last thing in a strip mall type building with a Gun Store on one end and the club on the other. There's a couple other businesses in between, a jack shack & telemarketing place, a constant rotation. It's not particularly important, but today those businesses had customers and the lot was much fuller than usual. There was sufficient parking despite the others there, I paid $5 to park and was wanded for weapons on my way in.

Inside, I was greeted by a cute but not particularly friendly girl who collected my $5 cover. I made my way in, the place was far from packed but there are still large sections of the club are "Reserved" for bottle service or paid seating so there was only a few tables and seats at the bar. I tried a table first, but was quickly reminded of one of my oldest gripes with this place. The lighting fucking sucks. It's pretty dark in there, but there are a bunch of spotlights, some stationary and some that move. The problem is, the spot lighting focuses on the customer seating much more than the stage. So, I was sitting at a table and had a spotlight on me. Forgive the pun, but I didn't appreciate being in the spotlight and I certainly didn't like not being able to see anything. I waited a few minutes to see if my eyes would adjust, but gave up and went to the bar. A cute and friendly bartender brought me a $7 domestic and a $14 Johnnie Black.
