Porthole Upgrades - Same Old Neighborhood Club

Arrived at the Porthole about 10:30 PM. The club was not as busy as usual. No sports to speak of on the screens - perhaps why it was so slow. The parking lot was full but most for the Latin club in the plaza that shares the same parking lot. The cover was $20 which is what you can expect these days. The staff was nice as usual and the crowd while mostly urban were all having a good time.

This club has upgraded substantially over the past year or so. New televisions, floors and bar decor. They even redesigned the dance floor to accommodate two dancers at the same time. Porthole has always been more of a neighborhood bar with strippers than a strip club. Even with the upgrades, it is your neighborhood bar. The staff stays the same and dancers tend to stay there a long time. I noticed with the upgrade more new dancers in the mix - quality of girls has gotten better as well. Fortunately, you can still get a great dance on the floor for $10 a dance or visit the VIP rooms at $25 a dance to "test the waters" with the girls.

Overall, I had a great time with two separate dancers that made me glad I made the trip, The club is not for everyone, but with the right expectations, it can be a nice change of pace from the Cheetah's and Booby Traps of the world.
