Tourist trap, $50 laps, non-working ATM. What more could you want?

Another visit to a club on my night in Nola. This one is right on Bourbon St, and on this night I was probably more impressed with the humanity on the street outside the club than inside. A dancer swooped in 10 sec after I’d got my drink (after paying a $12 cover), made a little small talk (“where you from” seems standard in this tourist Mecca) and then she tried to sell me a single lap dance for $50. Really?

I did try to replenish my cash but the ATM did not cooperate. Plus reading the menu of private dances which would cause me to forgo a few house payments, and I was out 15 min after I came in. To be fair, place did seem friendly and professional and my ATF from Baltimore and now NC did dance here over a year ago for a few days during Marco Gras. I’m sure the money was fantastic from the drunk tourists. Maybe I had a bad attitude this night, but I’m not sure I’d ever go back.
