Beamers in Decline

This place is not what it used to be. As one stripper explained to me, the exodus of some big employers from Stamford has not been kind to the local club scene. But even still, I was surprised at how bad things were during my visit. I was actually there the night before as well, but the scene was exactly the same.

For starters, it was $10 to get in and my Jacks on the rocks were $10 with a respectable pour. The ,layout has been well covered on here, but I will recap: when you enter, the bar is to the right and the stage is to the left. There are some table seats near the back side of the stage. There are pool tables near the bar chairs and a few big screen TVs for those who are following sporting events. The LD room is a little further in on the right. There is also a VIP room with its own bar and couches for LDs, though this time I did not pony up the extra cash for the VIP room as the club was too empty to bother.

There were 5 girls on Monday night and 7 on Tuesday, mostly the same crew. I gave them a regionally adjusted 6 and, sadly, that rating is deserved. The talent has taken a sharp nosedive since the last time I visited - I could have found these girls in almost any club anywhere. Last night, there was one black girl, 3 Latinas, 1 Asian girl and two white girls. Two of them were hot, but the others were either thick or entering MILF years. I spent a lot of time with the Asian girl, who was fun to talk to (and I tipped her accordingly), but I couldn't find the motivation to do much more. This is a really disappointing crew.
