Back to the old days
Although I now live in the US I used to live in London in the late 90's and 2000's. The strip PUB was where you'd go for fun. Then the strip club came along, become all corporate and arguably much less fun. Ye Olde Axe has somehow managed to retain much of the charm of the old school strip pub... girls walking the room collecting a pound in a glass before they do a floor dance. What has changed is the number of foreign (primarily Eastern European) dancers. Not good or bad - just different.
Went along on a Friday evening at about 7pm - paid £5 to get in and walked over to the long bar which dominated one side of the pub. I've been here a few times over the years and it was the busiest I've seen it. Plenty of dancers and lots of suits from the surrounding financial offices. as previously noted, girls will constantly come up to you and ask if you'd like a dance... some are abrupt about it, some will just chat to you. No real push to buy drinks for them.
One girl who said she was from Brazil came up to me after about 20 min Utes of being there... said she would give me a great dance ... the cost - £20... If I wanted a really great dance - £40. She had a killer body and was pretty sweet so I went for the £40. Dances are done in a walled off area towards the back of the club... shared with whoever else may be having a 'private' dance. When I went back there, there must have been at least 6 guys there already, but everyone is only really concerned with their own dance. The girl started dancing and stripping... hand were allowed everywhere. Everywhere. Lots of grinding and hands on action. The fact that there is so much milage here in a relatively open area is incredible in this day and age.
