party atmosphere

I hadn't been in her in quite a while but a dancer I know was going to be there so I went mainly to see her. Some say it is located in a "bad" area bu that's not really true... is is on an isolated stretch of Columbus Ave where buildings are few and far between.. you just pull into the parking lot and choose whether to use the valet park (which costs) or the free parking lot in back. I chose the free lot which is spacious and well-lit...you do have to walk about 100 yards alongside the building to get to the entrance.

I arrived just before 11PM and it seemed to be some sort of "event" night as their were large groups of males and females coming in together; a couple were talking about a birthday celebration. This club has always had more female customers than most clubs--both gay and straight--but this night was exceptional; about 50% of the people in line were women; the crowd was 95% African-American (I am not but I felt totally comfortable). Getting through security was slow...took 20 minutes for the line to advance....once in, paid the $20 cover charge and into the main room of the club dominated by a huge long stage in the middle.

There is also another room with a couple smaller stages and a couple lap-dance areas. 11PM is still a bit early for a Friday night so the place was not packed yet though there were a fair number of people. Two dancers were onstage engaged in some serious butt-shaking; I find that the dancers in this place put a lot of energy into their dancing, unlike some clubs. Other dancers were lolling around or strolling through the crowd and engaging customers; you can get a low-contact dance at the bar, sitting in a chair or just standing there.
