Delilah's is in a large shopping...
Delilah's is in a large shopping center near Egypt on Spring Garden just off Delaware Avenue (also known as Christopher Columbus Blvd). If you're not from Philly, its on the north end of Center City near the Delaware River. There is usually ample parking, except on special event nights.
Delilah's is a big club, the largest in Philly that doesn't look like a warehouse (ala Daydreams). You enter under the canopy, where the lion statues are. You walk into the lobby where you pay your cover or show your VIP card and walk through the metal detector. The cashiers are on either side as you walk in, usually only the one on the left is open (the one on the right is only used when the club is really crowded). The coat check is on the left just beyond the main cashiering station. You'll need to check any cell phones with cameras as these are not allowed in the club. Just beyond the lobby is the Champagne Court, which is very comfortable and well appointed.
You turn to the right, go through the metal detector and into the main club. First, on your left is the ladies room and then the men's room. On your right is the staircase to the Ruby Lounge, which is upstairs. The main club is a long rectangle with a single long stage in the middle of the club, stretching out away from you. A bar wraps around each end of the stage, like a dumbbell from the gym. There are stools at each bar. The far bar gives a view of the stage; the near bar does not give a good line of sight. Behind the men's room are doors to the kitchen and the freezer. Adjacent to the freezer is a third, smaller bar which is used when the club gets busy. There is a cluster of bar tables and stools by this third bar. Beyond this area is an elevated section with single seat couches and tables, bachelor parties are often given this area and tables can be reserved. There is general seating with single seat couches and small cocktail tables on either side of the stage, between the bars. Along the far wall and the right side, are SkyBoxes. The SkyBoxes are elevated seating, which give a sense of detachment from the club. The seats are primarily leather sofas arranged in a box configuration to give the sense of a private party. There is a surcharge to drinks for people seated here, or you can have bottle service. Bottles are not cheap, but hey, if you want to be Mr. Big Spender, knock yourself out. The girls who do waitress for the SkyBoxes are the most experienced in the club.
