I was kidnapped by a couple of friends Saturday, around midnight, to check out Solid Gold for the first time. Paid a $5 cover, tipped the coat-check girl a buck, passed through a metal detector, and then tipped the bouncer another $5 to show us to our table.

There were attractive girls everywhere from the moment we stepped into the place, but what really blew me away was the size of Solid Gold. The place was immense -- I'm talking aircraft hangar immense. There looked to be at least two or three floors of fun, with the main floor having two bars, a large enclosed area for shower shows, and a smallish elevated main stage visible from anywhere in the room.

We caught the end of a rather unconvincing lesbian show on the main stage as we made our way to our table right behind pervert's row.
