Finally A Good Time At Vanity

Thought I'd give this place one more chance as it seemed I was always too early for the prime action...and a dancer I knew was celebrating her birthday there. Arrived just before 11PM which is smart since the cover charge goes up after 11PM; it was $20 as it was. Parking in the lot was $20 also (and that's not valet parking) BUT if you come before 11PM you can often find free parking on the street, which is well lit and wide, not unsafe. This night was not only my friend's birthday it was also a night when the rapper Fabulous was supposed to appear so the expectation was for a crowd. After going through the elaborate security--metal detector plus pat-down--I paid the cover and went in to the main room, which is very large with a huge long bar which wraps around an elongated three pole stage--probably 100' long. For a change there was a fair amount of customers and dancers already there (11PM is early for this club) but there was still space at the bar. Scoping the room, the dancer quality seem pretty good and the couple of them onstage were doing pole tricks and some pretty intensive butt-shaking. A couple dancers were making out onstage and generally it was a party atmosphere. Almost all the dancers were African-American, ranging in quality from 5 -9 I would say. While waiting for my friend I was approached by a few of the dancers looking for a drink, a tip or a lapdance. One, a slender but shapely brown-skin girl with a pretty face named Simone, was very persuasive, dancing on me at the bar and let her hands roam all over me. I tipped her. If I hadn't been waiting for my friend I would have gone for some private dances right there. I ended buying her a drink (at her request) and was mildly annoyed when my friend arrived and this dancer hustled me for more tip; she was not happy that my attention was going to my friend but I had informed her upfront that this would be the case. My friend and I talked and drank and she danced on me there at the bar. I didn't take her to the private area because I was there for her birthday but I have in the past and it is a large room set off by dividers with seats in the cubicles. One guy supervises the room from a perch near the entrance but it is semi-private because of the dividers. Good times can be had there with the right dancer. Based on this, I would go back to Vanity on a weekend night at this hour or later.
