Not Much Has Changed At Showcase

This review is from a visit a couple of Friday nights ago. As many previous reviewers have stated Showcase isn’t easy to find if you’re not familiar with the area or don’t have GPS. I arrived a little bit after 11:30 and found the parking lot was full. I parked in front of one of the neighboring businesses. Many others had done the same on this night. The club is in a mostly industrial area so finding close parking at night is not an issue and your car should be safe. Cover is $20 every day all night. I think they open at 8:30. There is now a coupon on their website for half off the cover. You pay your $20 and get a receipt and get buzzed in. The bouncer checks your receipt and stamps your hand. On this visit I made the mistake of trying to bring in a water bottle. I can walk right in to Sinsaysionals with a water bottle so I didn’t think anything of it. Apparently this is a no-no at Showcase. The bouncer was going to make me go back to my car with it. Lucky for me one of the managers happened to be walking out as I was walking in. He said to give him the bottle and he’d walk back in with me. Problem solved. Kudos to the manager. You bring your own alcohol to Showcase and leave it in your car. You can purchase a cup for $5 at the bar and then go out to your car each time you want to fill up and then come back in with your cup. They also sell bottled water, Red Bull and bottled sodas in the back. Since they don’t have alcohol you don’t get the “drink hustle” at Showcase which is nice IMO.

Showcase caters to a mix of clientele. There are plenty of Latina, AA and Caucasian dancers as well as a mix of Latino, AA and Caucasian customers. The dancers range from petite to BBW with everything in between.

The inside of the club remains about the same as in my previous visits. A couple of changes were the addition of a couch in the lap dance area and a couple of new light fixtures. The seats and tables are still the same. The other notable change was the addition of a couple guys wearing shirts that said SECURITY. I don’t remember that previously. I have never witnessed any problems at Showcase, but it’s good to know they are there if needed.
