Get there FAST, before it closes

Pure Platinum (PP), a hop, skip and a jump from the closed Solid Gold, has to be on the edge of survival. Oakland Park closed Solid gold and must be trying to close its sister club down the street. Why go? Because it is Solid Gold ... not on steroids, but has a more comfortable vibe. PP has banners up outside proclaiming "Pure Platinum presents Solid Gold." Yup. The gals are Solid Gold gals, wearing gowns, then topless, then nude ... if they choose ... and most do. In fact, this PP setting is less formal than the old SG. The gals are more prone to present their assets more than they did at SG. Four stages, all with poles. The Champaign stage immediately adjacent to the bar, is the "light crowd" stage, a small circular stage that is intimate. The second "we're getting busier" stage is the VIP, a simulated piano adjacent to another bar. The third "now it's getting really busy" stage is the Main Stage (which is also on web cam), with a large stage area but all the action takes place at two poles at the front edges of the stage. The last "now we're packed" stage is the Piano, same as VIP but on the other side of the room. Gal ratings are personal, but I'd say these are sophisticated, 7 to 9 ladies. The night I was there everyone was having a good time. The pressure isn't there, in spite of previous review. Service was okay. If waitress does not come around, just go to bar. They will be happy to serve you. Waitresses in stocking were thin, not thick. Gals were eager but not pushy. What's not to like? My fave is the big cat club north of here, but as long as the city council of Oakland Park isn't able to close this place down, I will go.
