I have been to Jackson several times over the past few months for work. There really isn't much to the city other than being a stopover from Detroit or Ann Arbor from the east,and Potter's kind of fits that bill. As the other reviews stated, the place itself is like right in the row of businesses that is the main "town" of Jackson. I think it's right across from a Lenny's sub shop, so Potter's is definitely easy to find. The place itself is pretty plain, but luckily not seedy or dirty. I came after work for a happy hour type of deal and it was relatively empty. The monetary value was decent because the drinks were relatively cheap as far as clubs go, but definitely more than other hole in the wall bars. The dancers were a decent step down from some of the other clubs on the drive away from Detroit, which if you are expecting that, means you wouldn't be over disappointed from Potter's. After talking to a few folks it sounds like Potter's has been the staple club in the area for a while, with some of the folks joking that generations of people have grown up there. I would say this: if you are bored in Jackson and want to hang out with women other than in the local bars, go for it. Cheap drinks, low cover, and easy parking make it viable for a quick stop.
