A Halfway-Decent Night At Cracker Jaxx

I drove out to Jackson on July 3rd, since I didn't have to get up for work the next day. I hadn't been to Cracker Jaxx in a while, so I wondered how things might have changed since Avenues has been closed for good. I expected a lot of entertainers and patrons, since CJ is the only game in town now.

At 9:40 PM I pulled into the lot, which seemed about half-full. The club is located in a sort of industrial area. The parking lot is not fenced in or patrolled, but there are cameras, and it's always seemed safe enough to me. No valet, which is a plus.

As I walked up the stairs to the front door, a few people were outside, smoking and chatting. A well-built white woman in a striking red, sexy gown greeted me and walked in with me. I didn't mind, as she was pretty good looking. She said her name was Rose, and she had lots of really curly dark hair and sparkly red lipstick.
