One of an endless stream on...
One of an endless stream on bourbon street. Visited on a Monday night during tourist offseason. Entered with a party of three and found out we were the only guys in the club, and it's already 10 pm. Normally, I think this is a great thing, captive audience. But it became uncomfortable as I felt like I was a gazelle on the African steppes being hunted by the lionesses. Finally a few other parties came in, and the pressure lessened. Nice interior, two main poles, nice chairs around tables, small perverts row. Lap dance area has those high backed booths, but not very private and definitely too well lit. This is New Orleans dammit, I want more sleaze! VIP rooms start at the half hour increment and are upstairs, didn't see those.
Nice ladies, drinks reasonable. I saw approximately a dozen girls, mostly white with one Asian and what looked to me to be a Brazilian or very light skinned AA. None were below a 6, so big plus there. Once a few more groups came in it wasn't an immediate VIP push, they would sit and chat and have a smoke. Be warned that most will not even bring up lap dances and will go straight to VIP. Could be because.... Dance prices are the worst I've ever seen in my somewhat expansive career. 60, yes, SIXTY per dance and 400 for a half hour VIP and up. I laughed. And left. Don't club on bourbon cause the dancers all frowned and told me it was pretty standard. They'd sell sooooo many more at even 40 a song or a reasonable rate for half an hour. I've gotten an hour in other cities for 400...or less.
Maybe they get those rates during high tourist flow, who knows. But on a rainy Monday during the winter, there should be some recognition of different circumstances.
