I made a visit for the first time in a couple of months to what has been my favorite Maryland club for a number of years. I dont know if what I found was indicative of a significant change in the talent, or just indicative of a typical Tuesday night, but the talent level was substantially lower than what I've found at the PC over the past year. There were none of my favorites there, and a number of new faces. Most of the dancers were either too heavy or too thin, with only a few in that "golden mean" in between. The dancers who were there displayed the friendliness that has characterized most of the dancers there for years. Several girls offered laps, but I turned them down. I was set on Dakota, based on recent reviews which have indicated high quality dances from here. I had a longer wait than usual, as she was highly sought after on this night (probably due in part to the lack of viable alternatives). When I finally got my dance, she was very apologetic about the wait. The dances were good, but not exceptional. Overall, the experience at PC tonight was a bit disappointing, based on the high expectations that previous visits have created in me. I'm gonna chalk it up to a slow early week night, and I will give it another chance, sometime between Thursday and Saturday. I hope that the talent level will beup to the standards I have been led to expect over the past few years at what has been my favorite club for sometime. I did not experience any of the changes that have been rumored to be coming to the Players Club, no staff collecting dance fees, etc.
